From Ambleside, take the A593, Rothey Road signposted to The Langdales. Continue through Clappersgate and at Skelwith Bridge continue towards Coniston. Turn right when signposted Little Langdale, continue over a small bridge and take the next left on Side Gates to The Three Shires.
